A lot of people wonder what is the best mounting option for Paddle Boarding videos. Some like mounting the camera on the board, some use the Roll Bar Mount that GoPro sell but I usually like to mount the camera either on my helmet or with my DIT paddle mount. I fount it highly important to take not only videos of yourself but to edit the clips and add your friends as well. The helmet mount will give you the best results and it is the easiest way to take videos of others without loosing concentration!
Setting the camera on your helmet will give a nice perspective, a good shot of your surfing style and tricks. With the camera set on the board you will get the perfect angle of yourself surfing. Since the board is really bouncy, don’t forget to tight up the screws and to be better safe than sorry, just find a nice place on the board to attach the camera’s safety leash.
